Cyprus Police reported 19 individuals and 3 shop owners for violating measures aiming to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A police spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24 hours ending on 06:00 local time carried out 2,833 checks throughout the government-controlled areas.
In Nicosia 1,216 checks were carried out with 4 individuals and 3 shop owners reported, in Limassol 277 were carried out with 3 individuals booked, in Larnaca no reports were made following 581 checks, in Pafos the Police carried out 162 checks with 5 individuals reported, in Famagusta 7 individuals were booked after 377 checks, while no fines were issued after 106 checks.
The Traffic Departments and the Marine and Port Police carried out 143 and 21 checks with no fines issued.
