Police report 141 individuals and two shops over Covid protective measures violations

Cyprus Police reported 141 individuals and two establishments for violating measures aiming to contain the spread of Covid-19.

A Police Spokesperson told CNA, the force in the last 24hours ending on 06:00 local time Tuesday carried out a total of 10,923 checks.

In Nicosia, a total of 2,121 checks were carried out with 39 individuals and two shops reported, in Limassol 63 individuals were reported following 4,372 checks and 17 individuals were reported after 1,190 checks in Larnaca.

In Pafos the Police carried out 1,234 checks reporting 18 individuals and in Morphou 1 individual was reported following 769 checks. No data were given by the Police over checks and reports in Famagusta.

Furthermore, the Police Traffic Department carried out 1,172 checks reporting 3 individuals, while the Rapid Response Unit and the Port and Marine Police carried out 6 and 59 checks respectively with no reports issued.
