Police report 20 individuals and 2 shop owners over Covid protective measures' violation

Cyprus Police reported 20 individuals and 2 shop owners for violating measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A Police Spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24 hour, ending on 06:00 local time, the force carried out 3,304 throughout the government-controlled areas.

In Nicosia 1,286 were carried out with 2 individuals reported, in Limassol 277 checks were carried out with 7 individuals and 1 shop owner booked, in Larnaca 2 individuals was fined following 591 checks, in Pafos 3 individuals and 1 shop owner was fined after 129 checks, in Famagusta 516 checks were made with 6 individuals reported and in the Morphou region 262 checks were carried out with no fines issued.

Traffic Departments and the Marine and Port Police carried out 179 and 64 checks, respectively, with no fines issued.
