Police report 40 individuals for violating COVID-19 measures

The Cyprus Police have reported 40 individuals since yesterday for violating measures in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

A Police spokesperson told CNA that a total of 2,448 checks were carried out. Out of the 40 individuals reported, 39 were not wearing a mask and one had violated the curfew.

Out of the 2,448 checks, 19 were carried out by the Port and Marine Police, with no violations reported. No one was reported for violations of the measures at the airports either.
