Police report 74 pedestrians and drivers for restrictive measures violations

Cyprus police have reported 74 pedestrians and drivers between 1800 hours on Sunday and 0600 hours on Monday local time out of a total of 4,201 spot checks across the island, for violations of restrictive measures in place to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, in Nicosia, out of 1,392 spot checks 19 violations were reported, in Limassol out of 733 spot checks 11 violations were reported, in Larnaka out of 532 spot checks 12 violations were reported, in Pafos out of 683 spot checks 6 violations were reported, in Famagusta out of 176 spot checks 8 violations were reported and in Morphou no violations were reported out of 137 spot checks, the police press office has told CNA.

At the same time, out of 518 spot checks the traffic police reported 18 violations, while the emergency response unit reported no violations out of 30 spot checks.

Out of 856 spot checks the police made in various premises, no violations were reported.
