Police report 88 citizens and 3 premises for violations of COVID-19 measures

Cyprus Police reported 88 citizens and 3 premises for violations of Covid-19 measures in the last 24 hours, in a total of 11,059 checks.

A police spokesperson told CNA that the majority of the reports concerned the movement of pedestrians or vehicles without sms or a relevant form and others the non-use of a mask.

In Nicosia four fines were issued for citizens and one for premises after conducting 2,055 checks.  In Limassol 2,444 checks were carried out and 51 citizens were booked. The Police booked 13 citizens after 2,837checks carried out in Larnaca. In Paphos 9 fines were issued for citizens and 2 for premises after 1,682 checks, in Famagusta the Police reported 9 citizens after 1,195 checks and in Morphou district 2 fines were issued for citizens after 606 checks.

Furthermore, the Traffic Department carried out 243 checks and Cyprus Port & Marine Police carried out 27 checks with no reports.
