According to a survey carried out by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus on the employment of foreign workers in 2004-2007, the percentage of foreign workers in employment will reach 13%. The survey was presented by Labour Minister, Christos Taliadoros.
As the CNA reports, Mr. Taliadoros said that the number of foreign workers in the aforesaid period will depend on the increase or drop of total employment and on lower rates of increase in employment. “We anticipate an increase of 500 foreign workers (1.2%) per annum. The percentage of foreign workers in employment will remain the same in 2004-2007 and it will reach 12.7% in 2007”, Mr. Taliadoros concluded.
