A total of 181 people reported by Police for violating COVID measures

Police reported 181 citizens and four establishment owners for violations of COVID measures, in a total of  11.004 checks last 24 hours.

A spokesperson of the Police Press Office told the CNA that in Nicosia the checks were 3.067 during which 17 citizens were fined, in Limassol the Police conducted 2.476 checks and reported 85 citizens and one shop owner.

In Larnaca, 1.343 checks were made and 18 persons reported. The Police carried out  1.404 checks in Pafos and reported 27 individuals and two shop owners, in Famagusta in a total of 1.213 checks the Police fined 24 people and in Morphou 819 checks were carried out and three people were reported as well as one shop owner.

The Traffic Department made 612 checks across the island and reported 7 citizens while 70 checks were carried out by the Marine Police and no violation was reported.
