The total number of voters who have the right to cast their ballot in the 26 May European Elections in Cyprus is 641.181, announced on Wednesday the Chief Returning Officer.
Most voters are located in the Nicosia district with 214.510 Greek Cypriot voters, 114 Turkish Cypriots and 3.925 EU nationals, a total of 217.649 voters.
Next comes Limassol with 152.773 Greek Cypriots and 234 Turkish Cypriots and 1.489 EU nationals with a total of 154.496 voters. Larnaca district has 93.585 Greek Cypriot voters, 156 Turkish Cypriots and 1.358 EU nationals, with a total of 95.099 voters.
Paphos has the highest number of EU nationals, amounting to nearly four thousand. It has 50.127 Greek Cypriots, 173 Turkish Cypriots and 3.988 EU nationals, totaling 54.288 voters.
Famagusta district has 31.948 Greek Cypriots and the lowest number of Turkish Cypriots, being only five and 699 EU nationals, bringing the number of voters to 32.652.
There are a total of 6.068 Greek Cypriots registered to vote overseas as well as 67 Turkish Cypriots, a total of 6.135.
A total of 80.862 Turkish Cypriots have the right to cross over to the Republic of Cyprus to cast their ballot in the special polling stations set up for this purpose.
