Marfin CLR: Profits due to stock markets

Marfin CLR expects profits in the first nine months of the year against the losses in the corresponding period of 2008 due to the improvement in the CSE and ASE performance. In an announcement released today, the Company said that “the improvement is attributable to the revaluation and sale of financial assets as well as the increase in the operating expenses. It is noted that the CSE and ASE general index in the first nine months of 2009 recorded an increase of 63.3% and 49.0% compared to a drop of 56.8% and 44.8% respectively in the corresponding period of 2008”.

The Board of Directors of Marfin CLR will examine the results for January – September 2008 at a meeting to take place on November 18, 2009.

In the first nine months of 2008, the Company recorded losses of €284.7 thousand.

In the first six months of 2009, it achieved profits of €2.3 million.
