Attorney General appoints 6 magistrates for CSE cases

The Attorney General appointed on Thursday six penal magistrates for 13 serious CSE cases. According to the relevant announcement, their appointment has been deemed necessary within the framework of “the efforts to complete the investigations that are still pending”. “There are currently 13 serious cases under investigation, concerning price manipulation and other deceitful acts”.

The magistrates are former inspectors Kyriakos Pelayias, Thanasis Socratous and Theofanis Anastasiou, specialist in financial issues, Panikos Christoforou, sergeant Sotiris Charalambous and accountant-auditor Protopapas. It is noted that Mr. Anastasiou is regarded as one of the most experienced magistrates on stock exchange issues.
