Banks remain unchanged during today’s session

The CSE general index soared to 81.3 points and +1% today, mostly influenced by peripheral titles, as banks remained unchanged to Friday's levels. FTSE20 inched up 0.3% to 306.7 points, while due to lack of investors' interest trading hardly totaled CYP 240 thousand.

Overall, the six most marketable shares concentrated 60% of the total volume. Specifically, Lanitis Dev. was the most marketable share of the day, attracting 13.4% of investors' interest, while the other marketable stocks of the day were the Bank of Cyprus (12.8%), Elma (11%), the Popular Bank (8.1%), Tsokkos (7.7%) and Era Split Income (7.4%). The significant turnover of ERA and ESI is due to pre-agreed packages. Era fell 4.8% to 8 cents, while ESI ended 6.5% lower to 14.5 cents.

LDL climbed 6.2% to 69 cents, BOC and CPB remained unchanged and closed at CYP 1.09 and CYP 1.03 respectively, while TSH scrambled up 0.6% to 15.7 cents.

BOCw (5.7% of the turnover) slid 4.3% to 13.5 cents, DEM (4.1% of the turnover) fell 1.8% to 26.8 cents, while the Hellenic Bank (2.5% of the turnover) remained unchanged to 67 cents. Finally, Liberty (1.1% of the turnover) surged 8.3% to 24.8 cents.

40 securities went up, 26 fell and 17 remained unchanged.
