CSE slight up on Mon

The CSE general index inched up 0.3% to 79.1 points on Monday, while the hotel index recorded losses of 0.9%. The Bank of Cyprus and the Popular Bank remained unchanged at £1.60 and £1.20 respectively and the Hellenic Bank added 1.2% to 42.6 cents. The Hellenic Bank HBEw warrant closed at 11.3 cents.

The trading volume hardly reached £406 thousand. The Bank of Cyprus attracted 29% of the turnover, the Popular Bank 18.5%, the Hellenic Bank 3.6% and the Hellenic Bank warrant 3.6%.

Louis with 10.2% of the turnover put on 1.9% to 16.4 cents, Demetra Investments with 3.2% of the volume surged 0.5% to 21.1 cents and Marketrends with 2.9% of the turnover lost 3.9% to 2.5 cents.

SFS with 2.2% of the volume soared 1.8% to 5.8 cents and SAFS with 2.3% of the turnover slumped 8.8% to 3.1 cents.

FTSE inched up 0.03% to 363.7 points and the new joint index of the main and parallel market ended 0.04% higher at 1086.6 points.

Overall, 39 securities went up, 34 fell and 19 remained unchanged.
