Fresh gains in the CSE

The Cyprus Stock Exchange extended gains on Wednesday, influenced by estimates that Greece will be granted an additional financial aid until June.

The Athens Stock Exchange and most European stock markets record gains too.

The climate became positive after the statements of Eurogroup Chairman, Jean-Claude Juncker that the European partners of Greece will decide for a fresh bailout.

By the time this text was in progress, the CSE general index was up 2.37% to 837.36 points, while FTSE20 was recording gains of 2.20% to 284.79 points.

BOCY in the CSE soars 2.30% to €2.22 with a turnover of €582.9 thousand, while in Athens the stock soars 3.91% to €2.21 attracting €2.5 million of the investors’ interest.

CPB in the CSE climbs 3.17% to €0.65 with a turnover of €180.3 thousand, while in Athens the share gains 3.17% to €0.65 absorbing €614.8 thousand of the volume.

Hellenic Bank puts on 1.52% to €0.66 with a turnover of €26.7 thousand.

Overall, 8 securities are up, 6 fall and 12 remain unchanged.

In the ASE, the general index puts on 0.01% to 1309.28 points and FTSE is up 0.29% to 588.99 points.

The trading volume stands at €53.6 million.

In Europe, the stock markets are mixed since the rumours for an additional bailout to Greece are offset by the figures on the “freezing” of the Chinese production.

Paris inches up 0.11%, Frankfurt gains 0.25% and London loses 0.03%.
