According to latest CYSTAT data, domestic soft drink sales in January 2007 showed an increase of 12.1% to 3.3 million litres against 2.9 million litres in the corresponding month of 2006. Domestic beer consumption stood at 1.5 million litres compared to 1 million litres in January 2006.
Same figures reveal that no soft drink was exported in January 2006 and 2007, mostly due to the acquisition of Lanitis Bros by 3E. Beer exports fell 44.5% to 25.3 thousand against 45.6 thousand in January 2006.
