Value of wholesale and retail trade increases by 5.6% in 2017

The value of wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles increased 5.6% in 2017 compared to the corresponding period of 2016, according to data released on Thursday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

The Turnover Value Index of Wholesale and Retail Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles for the period October-December 2017 increased by 5.2% to 84.5 units (base 2010=100), compared to 80.3 units during the same period of 2016.

The Turnover Value Index of Wholesale Trade except of Motor Vehicles for the period for the period January-December 2017, recorded an increase of 7.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2016.

For the period October-December 2017 the index increased by 7.0% to 95.3 units (base 2010=100), compared to 89.0 units during the same period of 2016.
