Demetra Kalogerou replaces resigned member of investigative committee for Cyprus Investment Program

Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission Chairwoman Demetra Kalogerou has been appointed by Attorney General George Savvides as member of the investigative committee that will look into all passports granted through the Cyprus Investment Program from 2007 until August 17th 2020, to replace Costas Pampallis who resigned.

The Attorney General said in a written statement that after Pamballis sent a letter, dated October 13 2020, to resign for personal reasons, from his position as a member of the investigative committee that was appointed with a view to look into all passports granted through the Cyprus Investment Program from 2007 until August 17th 2020, the date on which the new legal framework for the Cyprus Investment Program was published, I decided to appoint in his place Mrs. Demetra Kalogerou, Chairwoman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.”

According to Savvides, Kalogerou will be sworn in before him after the relevant Decree is published in the Official Gazette.
