According to CYSTAT data released on Thursday, the Building Material Price Index in February 2007 recorded an increase of 4.5% to 135.11 points against 129.30 points in the corresponding month of 2006.
The highest increases were observed in the manufactured goods (+5.5%), timber, stones and quarry materials (+5.2%), electro-mechanic goods (+2.7%) and chemical products (+1.8%).
On the other hand, the price of fuel products dropped by 5.9%.
In January-February 2007, the Index surged 4.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
