The increase in the cost of construction materials continued in 2005. According to CYSTAT data released on Friday, the price of construction materials in January 2005 recorded an increase of 10.8% compared to the corresponding month of 2004. The construction material price index increased by 0.27% to 123.51 points compared to December 2004.
The oil products recorded the sharpest increase of 32.9%, followed by the industrial products with an increase of 13.5%. On the other hand, the price of electromechanical products dropped 4.6% and the price of other products fell by 1.3%.
