Construction materials prices record significant annual increase in July

The Price Index of Construction Materials recorded a significant annual increase of 13.6% in July, reaching 114.46 units (base year 2015=100).

“Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded an increase of 13.63%”, the Statistical Service (Cystat) of Cyprus announced Friday.

An increase was recorded in metallic products (29.61%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (12.30%), electromechanical products (10.38%), minerals (2.56%) and mineral products (1.14%).

Compared with June, the Index rose by 1.71%, it was announced.
