SEC: Aspis has no relation with the Greek State

03/11/2009 15:45
In an announcement released today, the Securities and Exchange Commission clarified that Aspis Holdings has no relation with the Greek State. Specifically, “the information that was given, according to recent reports, by the officials of Aspis Holdings Public Company Ltd at a press conference held on October 13, 2009 that the Greek State has become a major shareholder of Aspis Holdings Public Company Limited with a stake of 19.4% is not true.”.

“As we have been briefed by the Greek Supervisory Authorities, the operating license of Aspis Pronoia General Insurance SA and Aspis Pronoia Damage Insurance SA has been suspended and the companies are under insurance liquidation. The liquidation supervisor is appointed by the authorities and carries out the relevant procedures so as to serve the demands of the insured. This means that there is no relation with the Greek State”, the announcement concluded.
