Digital agenda from EC

European Commission officials will be visiting Cyprus at the end of the month to discuss the aspects of the “Digital Agenda for Europe” with experts and the public.

The “Digital Agenda for Europe” is a European Commission’s initiative that aims at using Information and Communication Technologies to help Europe achieve high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion

According to the official announcement, a conference is organised in Nicosia in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Works on Friday under the title “Going Local II –A Digital Agenda for Europe and for Cyprus”.

The conference will present the new digital strategy of Cyprus and will cover issues such as digital entrepreneurship (emphasis on EU funding, Green ICT) and the Commission’s actions for smart meters, water management and Green Digital Map.
The announcement said that it is the second year in a row that the European Commission organises such information visit to Cyprus.
