Government Spokesman, Stephanos Stephanou stated on Wednesday that the negotiations on the Qatari investment have not collapsed.
“We are currently in contacts and negotiations so as to go on with the investment”, Mr. Stephanou said.
On the question whether the government is worried about the latest rumours, the Spokesman said that this is not the issue. “We are working hard to achieve this target”, he noted.
On the question whether certain problems have emerged in the past few weeks, Mr. Stephanou reminded what the government once had said; “there is no need for a fuss because fuss does not help”.
Yesterday, AKEL Spokesman, Stavros Evagorou told Astra that the negotiations with Qatar head to a collapse but few hours later he was forced to refute his initial statements.
