The Government is proceeding with a holistic plan for distance services to citizens, as announced on Friday by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Kyriacos Kokkinos.
As he said after a meeting of the Cabinet, these services will include telephone communication, communication by email or even by videoconference.
The specifications for these services have been prepared and the tender will be announced in the next few weeks as the aim of the Ministry is to announce it in September, Kokkinos added.
The distance services, he said, will first be used by the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance and by the Registrar of Companies.
The same system, he added, will then be adopted by other Ministries.
