According to CYSTAT data released on Monday, harmonized inflation in April 2008 fell to 4.3% against 4.4% in March. HCPI for the same month dropped to 1.6%.
The highest increases were observed in the sector of housing, water supply, electricity and gas (+12.4%) and the sector of transportation (+6.9%). Increases were also seen in the sector of restaurants – hotels (+4.9%), education (+4.8%) and health (+4.3%).
On the other hand, clothing and footwear fell 1.9%.
In January – April 2008, harmonized inflation stood at 4.4%.
