Cyprus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides will be in Brussels on Monday to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which for the first time since February will be held with the physical presence of the ministers.

The meeting will focus on Turkey, in the light mainly of developments in the Eastern Mediterranean. In this context, the ministers will be briefed by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell on the results of his recent visit to Ankara. The ministers will have the opportunity to express opinions on any further EU-Turkey dialogue.

The Foreign Ministers will also exchange views on recent developments in issues concerning the EU foreign policy, including the situation in Libya, the Middle East peace process, Hong Kong, and Venezuela, as well as the consequences of the coronavirus in Latin America and the Caribbean.
