Minister of Trade, Industry & Tourism Nicos Rolandis met yesterday with Deputy Minister of Finance of Slovenia Ms Renata Vitez, currently on an official two-day visit to Cyprus. Slovenia, together with Cyprus, is one of the six countries awaiting accession to the EU, hoping to become a full member by 2004.
During the meeting, EU matters and the Cyprus problem were discussed as well as topics for further cooperation between the two countries. Ms Vitez stated that a start could be made with the investment and ports sectors of the economy.
