05/02/2003 13:10
Greek Foreign Minister, Giorgos Papandreou, is expected to have talks with the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan and the US Secretary Colin Powell over the Cyprus problem, on the occasion of his visit to New York to attend the Security Council hearing that will present evidence on links between Baghdad and Al Qaeda.

As CNA reports, Mr. Papandreou will inform Mr. Annan that Athens raised with Ankara the question of security, along with an agreement the two countries should reach over the number of troops they will maintain in the island, in case the Cyprus problem is resolved.
