Kyritsis elected as new General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions

General Secretary of the PEO, the Pancyprian Federation of Labour, Pambis Kyritsis was elected on Sunday as the new General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) during the 18th WFTU Congress that took place in Italy. A PEO press release says that Kyritsis has served since 2000 as one of the Vice Presidents of the WFTU having contributed greatly to its actions.

General Secretary of the PEO, the Pancyprian Federation of Labour, Pambis Kyritsis was elected on Sunday as the new General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) during the 18th WFTU Congress that took place in Italy.

A PEO press release says that Kyritsis has served since 2000 as one of the Vice Presidents of the WFTU having contributed greatly to its actions.

It adds that his election is an honour for Cyprus and reflects the appreciation of the WFTU towards PEO, which is one of its founding members.

The conference was attended by 426 delegates from 100 countries, who represented the hundreds of trade unions around the globe, members of the World Federation of Trade Unions.
