President to hold a private meeting with Merkel in Berlin

Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, who is paying a working visit to Berlin, will hold on Thursday a private meeting with former Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, in her Political Bureau.

Earlier he will visit the Jewish Museum and will give an interview to Die Welt newspaper.

Anastasiades met on Wednesday with the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier as well as with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. 

The President is accompanied to Berlin by Government Spokesman, Marios Pelekanos, Deputy Minister to the President, Petros Demetriou and the Director of the President's Office Pantelis Pantelides. His spouse Andri Anastasiades is also escorting him.

Anastasiades returns to Cyprus tonight.
