Transport Minister, Nicos Nicolaides stated on Wednesday that the decision of the Administrative Court of High Court of Justice Queen’s Bench Division of the United Kingdom to reject the direct flights between the UK and the illegal airport of Tymbou is of great importance.

According to the CNA, invited to comment on the decision, the Minister said that “basically this decision sets up the requirements so as to end the illegal use of the illegal Tymbou airport. Such decisions vindicate Cyprus and show that the possession, or any possession, cannot lift the legal rights of those citizens and this country”.

“We believe that it is a significant decision that will contribute to the struggle for the restoration of legality and the rights of this country and its people”, he concluded.
