The Supreme Court plenary, acting in its capacity as Council of the Supreme Court, unanimously decided, on September 25, the removal from office of Deputy Attorney General, Rikkos Erotokritou citing inappropriate behaviour.

The Attorney General Costas Clerides` application for the removal of Erotokritou was submitted to the Supreme Court on the basis of the latter`s misbehaviour related to his activities, actions and statements during the period between 14.4.15 – 23.4.15 as well as the handling of criminal cases concerning VAT under circumstances that suggest a conflict of interest in an earlier period.
