Ten citizens and two business owners were booked for violations of the measures aiming to contain the spread of Covid-19 by the Police after 2,096 checks carried out in the last 24 hours.
A Police spokesperson told CNA that 580 checks were carried out in Nicosia and two individuals were booked. In Limassol on citizen was fined after 190 checks.
A total of 557 checks were conducted in Larnaka and 3 citizens were fined. In Paphos the Police carried out 165 checks and booked on citizen and two establishment owners. Furthermore, a total of 335 checks were conducted in Famagusta and 3 citizens were fined.
No violations of the measures were reported in Morphou area after 153 checks. και υπήρξαν 3 καταγγελίες πολιτών, ενώ στην περιοχή Μόρφου πραγματοποιήθηκαν 153 έλεγχοι, χωρίς να υπάρξει καταγγελία.
Traffic, Marine and Port police also carried out 112 and four checks respectively without issuing any fines.
