Cyprus Police fined 27 citizens and 6 establishment owners for violations of COVID measures in a total of 3,017 checks across the island the last 24 hours. Police announced that the highest fine was up to 3,000 euro.
In Nicosia, Police held 1,206 checks without establishing any violations, in Limassol 20 individuals and 5 establishments were fined following 387 checks, in Larnaca 2 individuals were fined after 477 checks, in Pafos 1 individual and 1 establishment owner were fined after 126 checks, in Famagusta 434 checks resulted in 4 individuals fined while in Morphou no violations were found after 56 checks.
Traffic police carried out 205 checks and Maritime Police another 7 checks without fining anyone.
