More goods transported in the second quarter of 2018

Cargo transport increased in the second quarter of 2018, according to figures released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus on Thursday.
 
“National and international road freight transport showed an increase of 8.8% in the total weight of goods transported in April-June 2018, compared to the corresponding period of 2017”, Cystat announced.
 
According to figures published by the Statistical Service, domestic transport increased to 7,835,000 tonnes, from 7,209,000 in the same period last year and 7,808,000 tonnes in the first quarter of the year.
 
International transport increased to 7,690 tonnes in the second quarter of the year, from 7,068 tonnes in the same quarter of 2017 and 6,110 tonnes in the previous quarter.
