Reactions for termination of CAIR flights

The decision of Cyprus Airways Management to abolish flights from Paphos International Airport to London Heathrow from April aroused strong feelings to all tourism organization in the city.

The decision was announced yesterday and was characterized as ‘a stab in the back’ and a hostile action against the municipality.

Paphos Mayor and SEKO Chairman, Savvas Vergas as well as the Chairmen of the Chamber of Commerce and PASYXE, Giorgos Leptos and Themis Filippides urged all organizations to react in order to avert this negative development that will hit the efforts for the attraction of tourism.

Savvas Vergas announced that SEKO will hold an extraordinary meeting tomorrow to decide on the measures that will be taken against the abolition of the flights to the most important airport of the United Kingdom.
