Inconvenience for 6k travelers

Six thousand passengers travelling to and from Cyprus will be affected by the strikes of the air traffic controllers in Greece.

In his statements, Airport Spokesman, Adamos Aspris said that “today is the second day of strikes in Greece. As yesterday, the first phase started at 8.00 am and ended at 12.00, while the second will start at 6.00 pm and will end at 10.00 pm”.

“The total number of flights that will be affected due to the strikes at the Greek airports stands at 55, 18 of which have been cancelled. It is about 9 arrivals and 9 departures. The cancelled flights concern the itineraries of Cyprus Airways, Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines to and from Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, Iraklion and Rhodes. The remaining 37 flights have already been rescheduled”, he said.

“The affected airlines have already informed their passengers on the changes that have been made. Those who travel to Greece today must be in constant contact with the airlines and the travel agents to avoid any inconvenience”, he concluded.
