Cyprus moves Greece to category B from August 6

03/08/2020 10:32

Cyprus' Ministry of Health has announced that Greece is being moved to Category B as of August 6th and more tests will be conducted at the airports in the framework of passengers` and repatriates` testing, the authorities have announced.

The decision was taken as an increased number of COVID-19 cases were detected during random tests from passengers returning from Greece in the last few days. From August 6 all passengers from Greece will have to present a negative test at the airport upon their arrival. Cypriot citizens and their spouses or legal residents in the Republic can be tested upon their arrival and pay for the cost.

A negative test done 72 hours prior the departure of passengers is mandatory for everyone arriving from a Category B country. All passengers (Categories A , B and C) need to fill out the Cyprus Flight Pass (https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/) before their travel.
