The UK has been included in Category B as of August 1, after the evaluation of the epidemiological risk of countries regarding COVID-19, Cyprus’ Ministry of Health has said.

Passengers from Category B must have undergone laboratory tests at least 72 hours before their departure and have obtained a certificate proving they tested negative.

Furthermore, passengers from Category B countries can take a molecular test on arrival if they are Cypriot citizens and members of their families, permanent residents of the Republic of Cyprus, eligible persons based on the Vienna Convention, persons with a special permit from the Republic, and persons whose country does not provide tests for those wishing to travel.

The cost of the test is covered by the passengers themselves and they will have to remain house confined until the results are available.

All passengers, irrespective of nationality, are obliged to apply for the Cyprus Flight Pass (https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy) within 24 hours before their flight departure.

Furthermore, random tests for passengers of selected flight arrivals will be carried out.
