Trips abroad down 6.1% in August

The number of Cyprus residents who returned from a trip abroad in August 2019 recorded a decrease of 6.1%, on the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey released Tuesday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

According to the Survey, 173,081 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in August 2019 compared to 184,285 in the corresponding month last year, recording a decrease of 6.1%.

In August 2019 there was a decrease of 15.6% in the trips of residents to Greece (63,603 in August 2019 compared to 75,321 in August 2018) and 7.2% decrease to the United Kingdom (15.769 compared to 17.000 last year).
