The new Chairman of the Association of Commercial Banks of Cyprus is the Deputy CEO of Marfin, Panayiotis Kounnis, who was appointed during the meeting of the Board of Directors after the end of the AGM on June 16.
Mr. Nicolas Karydas, Senior Group General Manager of Bank of Cyprus was appointed as Vice Chairman.
According to the announcement, after the AGM, the Association held a reception, which was attended by DISY Vice President, A. Neophytou and other MPs, the CB Governor, A. Orphanides, the General Manager of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, P. Kareklas, the Chairman of SEC, G. Charalambous, the Chairman of CCCI, M. Mavrommatis, the General Secretary of CCCI, P. Loizides, the General Manager of OEB, M. Pilikos, the Vice Chairman of ETYK, P. Charalambous, the General Manager of CIPA, Sotiris Sotiriou, higher officials of the Central Bank of Cyprus, higher executive bank officials and other government officials.
