Bounced cheques of €83,445 in the preliminary November CIR

The preliminary Central Information Register of the Central Bank of Cyprus included in November this year bounced cheques of €83,445, while the total value of bounced cheques in the first 11 months of 2020 reaches €690,470.

Data by the Central Bank of Cyprus show that 48 cheques were registered in the preliminary list for November 2020, with a total value of €83,445, compared to 77 cheques with a total value of €105,253 in November last year.

Between January - November 2020 the preliminary register includes 409 bounced cheques of a total value of €690,470, compared to 859 cheques of €1,41 million in the corresponding period last year.

Regarding the number of persons included in the preliminary register in November 2020, they reached 28 (10 individuals and 18 legal persons), compared to 46 persons in November last year.

In total, in the eleven first months of 2020, 245 persons were registered in the preliminary list (108 individuals and 137 legal entities) compared to 465 in the corresponding period last year.
