The Hellenic bank has signed an agreement with the Archbishopric and the Kykkos monastery for the exchange of debt with assets within the framework of the restructuring of their credit facilities.
It is noted that the bank is in the process of evaluating restructurings with other church-related entities as well.
HB thanks the church noting that "it remains a valuable customer of the bank".
As reported on Monday by StockWatch, the church is offering additional land for the restructuring of its debt something that is expected to alter considerably its debt profile by the beginning of 2016.
