Measures at HB suspended

13/10/2015 16:02
ETYK announced the suspension of the measures against the Hellenic bank including the two-hour strike which was to take place next Thursday, as a goodwill gesture in light of the mediation initiative of the minister of labour Zeta Aimilianidou.

The minister has invited the management of HB and the heads of ETYK for a meeting tomorrow at her office in an effort to find a mutually accepted solution to the hot issue of recruitment of executives to organic posts.

ETYK with a new announcement today and despite suspending the measures against HB, launches a new attack on HB's management which it accuses of bluntly violating the existing collective agreement.
It also calls upon the management to, after the latest developments, seriously think about the gap between it and the personnel and that it has to realise that with its own actions it leads the bank to damaging dead ends.

The union refers to the attorney general's opinion in relation to the issue of whether the management has the right to freely hire top officials saying that the bank methodically misinforms and that some have even rushed to celebrate that they have been vindicated.

ΕΤΥΚ interprets the legal service's opinion as positive and claims that it proves that the union's positions are right as it mentions that the employees' career development constitutes a right given there is an agreement.

ETYK clarifies that the decision for taking measures in HB is still in effect and expresses its conviction that common sense will prevail so as for unnecessary confrontations to be avoided.
