New country director for Barclays Cyprus

Barclays has announced today that Savvas Constantinou has been appointed the Country Director of Barclays in Cyprus.

According to the announcement, reporting to Neil Jenkin, Director at Barclays, Mr. Constantinou will be responsible for leading the corporate and intermediary business in Cyprus, replacing Hans Wolff who has moved to a new role at Barclays HQ in London.

Savvas joined Barclays Bank PLC, Cyprus Branch in 2010.Commenting on the appointment, Neil Jenkin said:

“I am delighted that Savvas has agreed to head up our operation in Cyprus. With a wealth of knowledge acquired from various banking roles in international and investment banking, Savvas has extensive experience of managing and leading successful teams and working with clients. His promotion is also testimony to the quality and depth of the internal talent pool at Barclays.

Neil added, “We continue to recognise Cyprus as an attractive place to do business and we are committed to retaining our presence here.”

Savvas Constantinou said on his appointment:
