Τοtal deposits in August recorded an increase of €495.6 mln

Total deposits in August 2021 recorded a net increase1 of €495.6 million, compared with a net increase of €52.1 million in July 2021. The annual growth rate stood at 4.5%, compared with 4.2% in July 2021, according to MFIs deposits and loan statistics released Monday by the Central Bank of Cyprus. 

These figures are for the reference month of August 2021, which are included in the September 2021 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics. The outstanding amount of deposits reached €50.1 billion in August 2021.

Total loans in August 2021 recorded a net decrease of €117.9 million, compared with a net increase of €107.4 million in July 2021.

The annual growth rate stood at 1.3%, compared with 1.5% in July 2021. The outstanding amount of total loans reached €29.6 billion in August 2021.
