Total new loans down to €249 million in July

Τotal new loans in Cyprus’ banks decreased by €90 million in July 2019 compared to June 2019, according to data released by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC).

In July, total new loans recorded a decrease to €249 million compared with €339.1 million in the previous month.

New loans for consumption increased to €17.3 million, compared with €14.2 million in the previous month, of which € 0.5 million were loans that have been renegotiated.

New loans for house purchase rose to €87.8 million, compared with €71.3 million in the previous month, of which € 3.7 million were loans that have been renegotiated.

New loans to non-financial corporations for amounts up to €1 million recorded an increase to €41,6 million, compared with €39,4 million in the previous month. of which € 4.9 million were loans that have been renegotiated.

New loans to non-financial corporations for amounts over €1 million registered a decline to €72,8 million, compared with €190,2 million in the previous month, of which € 5.6 million were loans that have been renegotiated.
