08/09/2015 12:02
The parliamentary committee of institutions is going to examine the issue of the Lagarde list, which seems to include dozens of names of natural and legal persons who have deposits in a Swiss bank.

The issue will be discussed on Tuesday in the presence of competent officials.

According to the chairman of the parliamentary committee on institutions and EDEK MP Nicos Nicolaides, “the issue must be thoroughly examined”.

He also said that should the need arise, the possibility of changing the law in order to "open" the Lagarde list, will be examined.

AKEL MP Aristos Damianou said that there must be transparency with respect to legislation.

Expressing a legal position, he said that if criminal offences emerge there should not be an issue of personal information, in his opinion.
