Company Registrar refuses to cooperate for the CSE scandal

The House Audit and Finance Committees are particularly disappointed with the unexplained stance of the Company Registrar not to allow the department’s members to testify to the investigating authorities about the CSE scandals.

Meanwhile, the charges pressed by the attorney of the Republic of Cyprus, Maria Malactou last week have been confirmed, as the Chairman of the Committee, Christos Pourgourides, has urged the Company Registrar, Stalo Papaioannou, to cooperate with the investigating authorities, describing her decisions as irregular and anti constitutional.

Mrs. Papaioannou was particularly contradicting throughout the meeting, while her effort to blame investigators and police was apparent.

DIKO MP, Andreas Angelides, accused Mrs. Papaioannou for not being entitled to give such instructions, while the deputy Attorney-General, Petros Clerides, insisted that she was lying.
