House in dark for casinos

16/03/2009 13:11
The Commerce Minister and the CTO are alleged to keep the House Commerce Committee in dark in relation to the opening of a casino in Cyprus. In view of the House session tomorrow, Chairman of the Committee, Lefteris Christoforou told StockWatch that the issue has become a mockery. “Two months ago, we asked by the Minister and the CTO to submit figures and older studies. We are still waiting for the answer”, he said.

Tomorrow, Mr. Christoforou is expected to be strict for their failure to inform the Parliament on the issue.

“We expect clear answers by the government and the CTO tomorrow. We believe that all parties must state their views clearly so as not to leave tourism on hold”, Mr. Christoforou concluded.
